Allen Scafati is a Broker Associate at Coldwell Banker and a long term resident of The Palos Verdes Peninsula. He is married with one child (a graduate of Smith College in Massachusetts) and has lived in Palos Verdes since relocating from the East Coast in 1975. Born in New Jersey, Allen received his Bachelors and MBA degrees from Seton Hall University, majoring in Economics and International Business. He began his carrier in the investment division of Prudential Insurance Company and later became the Managing Director for the West Coast Branch of a Citicorp subsidiary. Realizing a strong desire to remain in Southern California, he embarked upon a real estate career in 1981 forming his own company specializing in the sales and development of residential and commercial properties and later joining a franchise of a National Real Estate sales company.
Recognizing the advantages of being associated with a large real estate network, he and his partners later founded Fred Sands Palos Verdes Realty, a franchise of the third largest independent real estate firm in the United States. In just 5 years, this company grew to be the second largest firm on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. They eventually owned and operated 3 state of the art real estate offices, an escrow company and mortgage lending business to better serve their clients with a full range of services. The business served the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula as well as the Beach Cities of Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo plus Torrance. In 2001, the business was sold to the parent company of Coldwell Banker where Allen currently works.
Allen has achieved continued success in the industry with annual production levels which have placed him in the top 1% of all realtors in the entire United States every year since 1985. He is experienced in sales of both residential and commercial properties, is an accomplished negotiator, works well with both buyers and sellers as well as relocation companies. He feels his biggest assets are patience, ability to listen and perseverance.
Extremely active in the community in youth activities, Allen has served on various community organizations, and a Trustee of the Peninsula Education Foundation for 4 years. He enjoys sports in his free time including golf, tennis, and hiking.
